The death of Mrs. Eunice Story Stebbins occurred last Thursday, Jan. 25, 1951, at the home of her son Leon Stebbins, following a tenday illness. Arteriosclerosis was the cause of her death.
She was born at Sweden Hill, May 17, 1872, a daughter William and Sophrona Snyder Story and was married to William Stebbins, whose death occurred 24 years ago. Mrs. Stebbins had been a resident of Coudersport and vicinity all her life and was a good wife and kind mother.
Eight children were born to her, five of whom survive:
Mrs. Florence Kellner, Coudersport, R. D.;
Mrs. Bessie Dickinson, St. Charles, Mich.;
Leon Stebbins, Coudersport;
Louis Stebbins, Bradford and
Mrs. Mary Carpenter, Whitney Creek.
One brother, Frank Story, survives;
also 23 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Stebbins was a member of the Episcopal Church.
Funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at the Schutt Funeral Home with the Rev. John C. Moore, rector of Christ Episcopal Church, officiating. Interment will be in Sweden Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were:
Edward Sr., Edward Kellner Jr., Francis Kellner, Ralph Stebbins, Earl Carpenter and Gerald Carpenter..
