Farmer Kisses Granddaughter and Threatens Suicide.
CORNING, N. Y.. Oct. 31.-
Sylvester Fenton, a retired farmer, murdered his wife at Bath this morning in fit of jealousy by cutting her throat with a razor. He told his granddaughter, who was a witness of the crime, that he was going to kill himself, kissed her good-by and then fled into the woods. Sheriff's posses searching the woods had failed to catch him up to late hour to-night or to find his body.
