Frank Daniels was born on March 12, 1894 in Freeburn, Kentucky, the son of William Daniels and Mary McCoy.

He was a farmer, miner, WWI vet, and made a little moonshine. Frank was a member of the UMWA, VFW, and American Legion. He could play any instrument he picked up and was known for playing Taps on his bugle at veterans funerals.

Being just as good at a sewing machine as he was at plowing a field, Frank said there's no such word as "can't".

While enlisted in the United States Army, Frank married Anna Simek on August 9, 1919 at Camp Merritt, New Jersey. He was later discharged as Sergeant on April 13, 1920 and returned home to Kentucky. Frank and Anna's marriage was short-lived as Anna did not like the country life and living in Kentucky.

On December 21, 1920, he married Jossie Stevens in Jarrolds Valley, West Virginia. They met on a train. She was the daughter of John Henry Stevens and Julie Collins. They had twelve children-six boys and six girls and lived on the Daniels farm along the Tug River near Freeburn, Kentucky.

On November 18, 1959, he passed away and was laid to rest in the Daniels Family Cemetery near his home in Freeburn, Kentucky.
