SNIDER, John
Co. C., 11th W.Va. Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted 22 Dec. 1861. Discharged in 1864. All of his service was connected with keeping the B&O Railroad open in order to keep supplies flowing to the Union troops in the south. Hospitalized in Parkersburg and lost vision in one eye due to smallpox. Based at Parkersburg and later at Keyser, W.Va. following Lee's invasion into Pennsylvania.
