FUNERAL OF LEVI COFFELT
Aged Citizen of Mt. Crawford, Who Died Thursday Afternoon
The funeral of Levi Coffelt, an aged citizen of Mt. Crawford, whose death occurred Thursday, was held Friday afternoon from the Reformed Church in that place. The services were conducted by Rev. B. K. Hay, assisted by Rev. Theo Wright and Rev. H. L. Myerly.
Mr. Coffelt was born in Shenandoah County, December 1, 1825. He came to Mt. Crawford fifty years ago and was engaged in the trade of a wagon-maker. Later he became a merchant in the place, but retired from active business some years ago. He had been in feeble mind and health for several years.
He leaves one daughter, Mrs. W. H. Foley. Another daughter was Mrs. W. E. Shinnick, now deceased. He had been a member of the Reformed Church since his youth.
Mr. Coffelt was a man of upright character and was universally esteemed in the community where so great a portion of his life was spent.
