Martha Blendine Eddy, 87, died Friday (June 21, 2002, at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, Monongalia Co., WV She was born Jan. 15, 1915, daughter of the late Charlie and Sarah Hamilton. She was an active member of the Monongalia County Senior Citizens and the Daybrook Fair Association. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed being out in the community and lending a helping hand. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Jerry Chisler and Nancy and Donnie Leary; six sons and four daughters-in-law, Jimmie Eddy, Jackie and Sylvia Eddy, Herbert and Sandy Eddy, Donnie and Nancy K. Eddy, Freddie W. Eddy and Randy and Patty Eddy; and 19 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orval W. Eddy; an infant daughter, Gatha Gail; two sisters, Louie Walker and Prudie Hamilton; and one brother Herb Hamilton. Friends may call at Domico Funeral Home, Curry Chapel, in Fairview from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. She will lie in state Monday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Wesley Methodist Church in Daybrook. The funeral will be held in the church at 11 a.m. Monday with Pastor Ronald Mayhley officiating. Burial will follow at the Daybrook Cemetery.
