• Interesting News From Tyler's Capitol
Middelbourne, March 4.
-Mrs, J. A. Meredith and son Everett of Centreville arrived in town yesterday for a visit with her son, John W. Meredith, and family, and other relatives.
John Crumrine, a good Democrat, who lives above the Jug, was transacting business in town yesterday.
L. P. Clark of Pennsboro, was a guest at the Hotel Central while in town abstracting for the Carter Oil company. He left last night for his home.
Thomas MeHenry of Perry, Ia., who has been visiting his father and other relatives in and near town for several weeks, left yesterday for his home.
S. Frum of Sistersville, and 'S T. Elkins of New Martinsville, who are representing a machine and music firm, were registered at the Hotel Central last night.
Walter Oldham of Sistersville, was in town yesterday. He brought G.W. Bland of West Union here, who was transacting some business at the court house.
A. J. Moore of Bearsville, has been in town a few days this week looking after the interests of an oil company which he represents, He was a guest at the Hotel Central.

Grandma Wetzel of Luzon, is visiting her old friends, the family of John McHenry, near town. Mrs. Wetzel is a very old lady, and is a relative to the Wetzels of history.

Mrs. Lena Loveall of Bears ville, who recently purchased the property of Dr. J. L. that place, was in the county seat yesterday looking after some business matters.
George Hall, a prosperous far mer and business man of Bearsville country, was transacting business at the County Clerk's of- fice, and looking after some business matters in town yesterday.
Attorney K.C. Moore, who has been assisting in running things at Charleston during the recent session of the Legislature, arrived in town last night, and will now be at home to his clients and all friends.
Attorney C. R. Martin went to Sistersville last night to look after legal matters and other friendly relations. It is whispered that he will soon be registered as a benediet, athough a resident of the Bachelor's Home.
Wm. Morris and wife. and grand-children of Centreville, passed through town yesterday on their way to Sistersville and Friendly to visit their relatives. Mr. Morris recently sold his residence property at Centreville to C. B. Riggs and we learn he will locate at Sistersville.
Clinton Maxwell of Next, was transacting business in town yesterday. He reports things boom ing in his neighborhood since the coming in of the Archer No. 4, drilled by Neely & Casper. They shot it yesterday with 20 quarts, and it flowed over the derrick, and is good for 25 barrels. The rigging is ready for No. 5 and other locations in prospect.
Mrs. C. D. Eastman was agreeably surprised last evening when it was announced that she was to be hostess to a crowd of young ladies who had invited themselves to her home to spend the evening. Mrs. Eastman as usual was equal to the occasion, and so short notice was in readiness for her guests, and a delightful time was enjoyed by the guests. Games and eating, as in all meetings of this kind, were the features of the evening. Those present were: Misses Lydia Mason, Della Watson. Maude Marshall, Rose Eddy, Sina Twyman, Bertha Evans and Arvilla Pyle..

Mrs. C. D. Eastman was agreeably surprised last evening when it was announced that she was to be hostess to a crowd of young ladies who had invited themselves to her home to spend the evening. Mrs. Eastman as usual was equal to the occasion, and so short notice was in readiness for her guests, and a delightful time was enjoyed by the guests.
