Volume II, of the “Tug River People of Appalachia” contains abstracts of the county court cases from both Pike County, Kentucky, and Logan County, West Virginia, just as its predecessor book. Pike county came into existence with its first case in 1822. While Logan is a burned courthouse due to the civil war. The very early records are no longer available for Logan. Sharing these abstracts are for the benefit of authors, genealogist or researchers, who are looking for that one or two records they didn’t know existed. This book is a user’s guide to those case files located in the Archives of Kentucky and West Virginia.
