Shirley Ann Schlenther, 91, of Pinellas Park, Florida passed away on January 28, 2022.
She was born on February 5, 1930 in New Haven, Connecticut to James Adelard Prunier and Olive Gertrude Hook. She was the middle child with an elder brother Edmond J. Prunier and younger brother John F. Prunier.

She graduated from West Haven High School, class of 1947.

Shirley was married in 1952 to Harry Paul Schlenther and had three children, Karl Edward Schlenther, Jamie Lynn Schlenther (Wisel), and Jon Eric Schlenther.

She was a devoted mother and homemaker, becoming a single mother to her young son Jon after her divorce in 1975.

Shirley worked as a Medical Clerk for the Veterans Administration for 15 years, starting in West Haven, Connecticut, and then moving to Fort Myers and Bay Pines, Florida.

She was a member of the Republican Town Committee in West Haven, Connecticut for 16 years.

Her hobbies were sewing and interior decorating, progressing through a number of homes. After retirement, she enjoyed travelling across the United States, introducing her granddaughter to the beauty of our National Parks.

Shirley was survived by her two sons, Karl and Jon, grandaughter Lynn, great grandaughter Brinley, and her former husband Harry.

A one hour visitation will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 11:00 am, followed by burial at Serenity Gardens in Largo, Florida.
