Uriah Runyon was the son of Adam, Jr., and Martha Harris Logan (who were married in Logan County, Virginia, and divorced in 1837).

Their children were Missouri and John B.
After Uriah's death Sarah married Pharmer McCoy, brother of Randolph, and the children were raised with the last name McCoy.
Uriah was a Civil War soldier. The Civil War Draft Registration lists him as born in Virginia and being married.

After being mustered out, the must have been mustered back in, for the Alphabetical Roster for the 39th Kentucky Mounted Infantry Union Army lists him as "Runion, Uriah, Private Company I, killed in action May 18, 1864 in Pike County, KY."

When Uriah Runyon was born in 1830 in Virginia, her(?) father, Adam, was 30 and her mother, Martha, was 26. She had four brothers and two sisters. She died in 1862 in Pike County, Kentucky, at the age of 32, and was buried there.
