Here's an interesting connection. Linda Marie is the daughter of Elizabeth "Betty" Neefe Grupp (I remember my mom buy eggs from her), Elizabeth "Betty" Neefe was the daughter of Lynn H Neefe. Lynn was the son of Hanna E Snyder (1845-1921) and Hanna was the daughter of Catherine Shay (1817-1879) and Catherine Shay was the daughter of Elizabeth Roberts (1791-1871), who was the daughter of Rev. War Veteran, Peter Roberts (1743-1828), and Peter was also the father of John Roberts (1766-1852), who was the father of Samuel Roberts (1794-1850), father of Sarah "Sallie" Roberts (1822-1892) mother of Laura Ann Chase (1841-1920, who was the mother of Ford O Snyder (1862-1947), who was the father of Lawrence David Snyder (1899-1950), who was the father of Dorothy Louise Snyder (1921-2002) who was the mother of ME! Last year, while waiting for a plane to fly back from Orlando, FL, there was a guy with a Bills T shirt waiting too. After talking for a while t realized he was Robert “Bobby” Spring. The name rang a bell and I checked. That “stranger” was my 6th cousin 1x removed. He’s a descendant of Peter Roberts too! So is John Wetzel

It also appears that Elizabeth "Betty" Neefe Grupp was the daughter of 2nd cousins. Kathryn Laura Kiehle's great grandparents were also Richard Shay & Elizabeth Roberts. This makes Linda Marie my 5th cousin 2x removed TWICE!

Edward Franz Neefe & Helena Friest are the common ancestors of every Neefe living in Potter County. This does not include the name "Neff", just the double E spelling "Neefe".

I find it amazing to see the results of the modern research available now
My grandfather, Monta C. Burt reached for the phone book in each town he visited and called all the Burt's listed to ask if they were related.
I remember my mother, Agnes Burt Schutt exchanging information with some the names I see listed here.
She would have loved the internet and all the riches it reveals.
I will suggest that the photo of my father Willard Enlist Schutt posted, is not him but a second picture of his father Willard Francis Schutt.

I was born in 1946 my sister Louise was born in 1943 the same year as Tom. They were in school together. My mother would always talk about Oscar Snyder and my grandfather Lynn Neefe were double first cousins. Sister and brother married sister and brother.
