Farm equipment has changed radically since the days of this 1911 Peerless steam traction engine, which tooted its way slowly down Coudersport's Main St. for the ninth Maple Festival parade. Made by Geyser Company of Waynesboro, the engine was used to operate thrashing machines and sawmills, and wherever power was needed. It is owned by Don Cutler and Ed Cutler, the engineer, both ol Shinglehouse. The men also own a 1913 thrashing machine, and utilized an old-fashioned tank wagon to supply water for the Peerless..
