• June Wedding Of Local Interest
The marriage of Miss Geraldine Metcalf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Metcalf Ulyses, to George Schweigart, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schweigart of Harrison Valley, Pa., solemnized Sunday evening at 9:00 o'clock at a candlelight service, at then home of the bride's parents. Rev. Clair Statham of Harrison Valley performed the ceremony before an altar banked with garden flowers.
The bride, who was given in mar-riage by her father, was lovely in a gown of white satin, with a net yoke, and long sleeves. Her fingertip veil fell from a tiara of lilies of the valley. She carried a shower bouquet of pink and white roses and lilies of the valley.
Bridesmaids were Miss Frances Hilfiger, Ulysses, and Miss Patricia Schweigart of Harrison Valley, sister of the groom. They wore pink and rose gowns with white shoulder length veils caught with spring flowers. Maurice Tormey and Reed Russell of Knoxville acted as the groom's attendants.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents for about 45 relatives and friends. A three-tiered wedding cake formed the centerpiece for the table.

Y.: Mrs. Millie Cartright, Corning; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Thompson, Mrs. Carrie Haynes, Mrs. Albert Schweigart Sr., daughters Patricia and Kathryn and son Billy, Mrs. Ida Statham, Harrison Valley; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Harris and sons Elton Cecil, Whitesville; Phillip, Phyllis and Wilda Mascho, Andover;; Miss Ruthie Halsey, Andover; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ulysses; Mr. and Mrs. Allison Tormey and son Maurice daughter Marian, Ulysses; Mr. Mrs. Robert and Ordway and son Hoddy, Fred MilUlysses; Mrs. Gaylord Hoyt, Ulysses; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Cooper and daughter Viola, Ulysses; Leonard Carpenter, Ulyses; Mr. and Mrs. Marion Metcalf and son Llewllyn and daughter Janice.
