Prothonotary of Potter County Who Is a Candidate for Re-election.
FOR SECOND TERM
Prothonotary Lloyd S. Newton Again a Candidate for the Republican Nomination.
In the regular political column this week will be found the formal announcement of Prothonotary Lloyd S. Newton, who will he a candidate for the Republican nomination and for a second term in this office.
Mr. Newton is so well known throughout the county that it is not postpon-possible for the ENTERPRISE to add much to the introduction, which his large acquaintance has given him.
It cannot be denied that Mr. Newton is a courteous and efficient official. He knows his office from its Alpha to its Omega and is always able to show those desiring information exactly what they want and he does it in a way to make them know that it is a pleasure for him to perform his public duties. Certainly the county never had a public official with a more pleasant personality. Usually county officials are given two terms when the law permits it as it does in the case of the prothonotary and naturally Mr. Newton feels that there is no reason why his case should be an exception. At any rate he presents his name for the considreration of all Republican voters, subject to the decision of the primaries on Wednesday, September 17th, 1919.
