Hi Jeannette! A post in the FB Potter-McKean Gp, just a picture, Mrs. Ada Spencer of Gold. Do you know who she is.

She wasn't from Gold. She was from Ulysses.
She was a Raymond I'll have to look up the lineage ---- married I believe to Fordyce Spencer a dentist (I'm doing this off the top of my head before my coffee. I think I have it right)
I remember her quite well.
Not sure about her husband's first name -- they had a son who was also a dentist and I might have confused the names.

Her home in Ulysses still stands but has been basically trashed. ugh
She and her cousin Nina Raymond Whitney (husband Alvin Whitney) were the :"ladies in the library" when I was a kid. They knew my maternal grandmother and somehow knew who I was when I appeared there the first time as a clueless third grader. But I loved the library and books and very soon considered them my friends.
