Boyd Snyder
MARISSA -- Boyd Snyder, 66, died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, in Sparta Community Hospital.
Services will be private, with Dr. Robert Smith officiating. Burial will be in Marissa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Sparta Church of Christ or the American Heart Association.
Mr. Snyder had been a miner for Peabody Coal Co.
He was a member of the Sparta Church of Christ.
He was born July 25, 1932, in Wayne, W.Va, to Donald Ray and Betty Mae (McCoy) Snyder.
He married Lotus V. Goodwin. She died Feb. 4, 1999.
Survivors include
- one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Dennis Lively of Sparta;
two granddaughters,
- Nicole Pyatt and her husband, Robert, of Pinckneyville and
- Jillian Hubler of Sparta; and
- an adopted family member, Sandy Mann of Marissa

I'm searching for a Runyon who would have been married to Betty Mae McCoy. This would have been about 1930/1931.
This Runyon would be my Dads biological father.
My Dad was born Alfred Boyd Runyon 25 Jul 1932 - 27 Apr 1999.
He always went by his middle name Boyd. He met his biological father at least once and from that meeting learned there are half-siblings.
Sometime in his last teens his last name was changed to Snyder.
