I'll say hi to the group with this picture,
taken in 1907 or 1908. It's my mother, Gertrude Lowe Enright, and her brothers Leo and Bernard, sitting on their front porch in Eldred.
Caption on the back:
"Just going fishing."
Their father worked for the railroad, and they spent time in a number of small McKean County towns--Eldred, Kane, Hazel Hurst, and then finally, Bradford.
Their dad was killed in a train mishap in Buffalo in 1912.

V-Anne Danielson I don’t know. They were there a fairly short time I think. By early 1909, they were in Punxsutawney because the next kid was born there.

Clifford and Caroline Hines Lowe.
Not McKean County natives, although the Hines family spent some years in Kane, about 1890-1900. There must have been glass manufacturing in the Kane area? The Hines family moved around following the glass trade.
