Old Newspaper Clippings from Irish Settlement
Toni Stevens-Oliver has scanned and donated the pages of a scrapbook owned by her great-grandparents, James and Ella (O'Donnell) O'Hara. The clippings concern their extended families - Dwyer, Fitzstephens, Hart, McHale, McNulty, McGinnis, Moran, O'Donnell, and O'Hara.

This page is the alphabetical index to the over 400 newspaper clippings about the lives of residents of the Irish Settlement area. The clippings cover almost 100 years starting in the early 1900s. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, many of the children of the original settlers migrated to Wellsville, NY. (The Sacred Heart Cemetery in which many were buried is in Wellsville.) Some also followed oil field work to Oklahoma and Texas.

Death at Kinney
The death of Mrs. John McGinnis occurred at her home in Kinney Wednesday evening. She was 67 years old. Funeral will be held from St. Mary's church at Kinney.

died July 29, 1913
