1943 - I never got a haircut until 1944, shortly before I turned three years old and shortly before we moved to Portville.

David A Pupo I got my first haircut just before we moved to Portville in 1944 - shortly before I turned 3 years. This picture was taken in 1943.

Thom Torrey - My Mother told me that I got my first haircut around the same time in, Olean at Allen's Barbershop (now Shortell Plumbing location) on West State Street. If there was a photo, it would have been in the lost, in the house, on 21st St. ,in the 1942 Flood.

DavidCarol Burleigh More than one person mistook me for a little girl until my dad took me to get a haircut. My mom was upset when he did - she liked my long red hair... and maybe wanted a daughter when I came along.????????
