George C. Olmsted, seventy-five years old, died on November 2nd under the roof of the Coudersport home in which he was born. Heart trouble was the cause.
The oldest employee of the Company, both in age and (in)service...
George Olmsted went to work for the old Potter Gas Company in November, 1898. He started out as a timekeeper, turning to meter- and service-work at the end of five months. In that field, he remained throughout his career, except for brief interims in which he proved his value as a salesman. At the time of his death, he was all-round man in North Penn's Coudersport territory.
He was a great-grandfather. In addition, he leaves three children and four grandchildren. One son, Bill, is at present our (North Penn) househeating engineer...
