Mrs. Clara B. Edwards Dies At Her Home Here
Highly respected Mrs. Clara B. Edwards, a Coudersport resident for 40 years, died at her South East St. home last night (Tuesday, Aug. 14, 1Q62). She had been ill four months and hospitalized more or less of that time.
Mrs. Edwards was born at Stannards, N. Y., Nov. 11, 1880. She was a daughter of Printice and Jennie Miller Beebe. She married George Edwards in Coudersport Aug. 5, 1905. Mr. Edwards died in 1922.
Mrs. Edwards served as secretary to the late Attorney A. N. Crandall, was an employee of the First National Bank, employed in the courthouse and by the Department of Public Assistance.
Deceased was active in the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of American Colonists, SHG, and the Office Girls Club. She was a mernber of Park Methodist Church.
Survivors are
- one son, Robert Edwards, Buffalo, and
- a sister, Mrs. Grace Weldy, Coudersport
and there are several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received after 7:00 o'clock this evening at the Grabe Funeral Hqme. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday.
- Burial will be in Eulalia Cemetery Coudersport.
