H.L. Farnsworth, who was badly burned two weeks ago, died on Thursday last at the County Home, where he was taken for care, and was buried on Sunday, in eulalia cemetery. No relatives of the deceased are in this vicinity.
Sheriff Veley and wife went to Morganza Friday, taking with them Naomi and Laura Green, who were sentenced at the last term of court. Sarah Miller was taken to Williamsport, where she will make her home with an aunt.
William Brine, a life-long resident of Roulette, and a Civil War veteran, is dead, after years of infirmity and many trips South to recuperate his health.
Jack Holloran, the popular trainman, who has been quite ill for some time, is showing some signs of improvement. He has been treated by Dr. D.E. Jacobs and last week Dr. W.J. McGranor, of Port Allegany, was here in consultation. It is now believed Mr. Holloran will improve rapidly from now on and will soon be on his feet.
Work on the Mitchell park began on Saturday in earnest. R. Lynn Emerick, who is the president of the board of directors, has spent some time in looking the situation over and has decided to put the work of grading and clearing out the underbrush under the management of Harvey Root, who is very familiar with the various kinds of trees and the trimming and care of them...
