DAN GREEN LUMBER CAMP, CONRAD, 1903
Walter Deibler of Wharton very kindly loaned to the Enterprise the old photograph from which the engraving above was made. The camp was near Conrad and the picture was made in 1903. Some one had written the names of the people in the picture on the back with the exception of one who was not known. They are:
- Jim Dinger,
- Frank Brink,
- not known,
- Gaynel Williams Deibler,
- Mrs. Dan Green,
- baby Burnley Green,
- Lena Williams Casbeer,
- Sidney Deibler, and
- Hugh Green.

John Christy Wetzel
Gaynel Iva Williams Deibler, 1886-1933 and Lena Elizabeth Williams Casbeer, 1893-1989, her younger sister, were close relatives of mine- 1st cousins of the wife (Minerva Williams McFall McCoy, who was herself a cook in a Wharton logging camp) of my 3rd cousin 3x removed (Hubbard Clark McCoy, 1871-1948);
or 1st cousins of the wife (Minerva) of the grand nephew (Hubbard) of the wife (Sarah Hollenbeck Snyder) of my 4th great uncle, John William Snyder (1814-1910).
Walter Elias Deibler, of Wharton, who very kindly loaned to the Enterprise this old photograph, was Gaynel's husband.
