Thank you Larry, I have never seen this picture but I have the painting that was done from the same scene. My Mom always told me that some people were eliminated from the painting and here is the proof! WOW! My Mom said man was Hugh Booth not Samuel.

My mom also told me that her Grandmother, Clarissa Schollard did not want to be included in the painting because she had an apron on. I believe she is the one pushing the child in the baby cart

Kathy Keatting Hull Clarissa was my great great grandmother. Do you know where this house was? Garry Reynolds was Allyne Schollard's son. Caption says the lady is Emma Booth who was Clarissa's mother. Love the painting--the pic has been on here several times. Would like to know how Lanny got it--wish he would repond to me!

Nancy Rawson Ayers yes, she was my gg-grandmother also. My Mom took me to that house in the 90s, it was empty at that time, I took pictures. It has since been torn down. It was on the first road on the right when facing south from the old Schollard store. It wAs a dirt road and we followed it to the end which is where the house wAs located, no name on road but the Carpenter house was also on the dirt road.

Nancy Rawson Ayers I love the character of the original picture, such a tale it tells of days of old. Such a treasure.

Kathy Keatting Hull My husband hunted phesants once on Castle Hollow which is in Hebron not far from the old store. In doing some research I found that Grandpa Schollard's mother's second husband was a Castle. Do you have any info?

John Schollard’s sister, Ellen Schollard married a Castle. Ellen, born 1853 married Adolphus Castle. They lived in Roulette. PA.
