1. Mr Maxson lives at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. James Kelsey at 120 Riverside Avenue.
His daughter is Mrs. Ada Freeman, also residing at the Kelsey residence.
Born January 15, 1822 in Rhode Island, moved with his parents when 9 yrs old to Main Settlement, ca 3 miles east of Portville.
He became a riverman in the early days of lumbering in rafting on the Allegany River.
He then became a farmer.
His wife died cabout 11 years ago, after which he lived since in Olean.

2. Olean defeats Coudersport 40-29, Coudy's first loss of the season; record 9-1.
