1920s - TEACHER MARY ERWAY WELFLING & STUDENT MARIE METZGER - COUDERSPORT, PA

Mary Erway Welfing was a Coudersport school teacher from 1908 to 1950. She was married to Prof. Rudolph O. Welfling, Potter County Superintendent of Schools. Mary was one of the founders of the Potter County Historical Society. For several years she kept the property of the Historical Society in her home.
Mary Emily Erway 07 Mar 1880 - 21 Feb 1974 (See Jan 27, 2020 post).
Marie Lorraine Metzger Peet (Jan. 6, 1912 - Jan. 5, 2005) is the daughter of Katherine Theresa Sheldon and Theodore Loren Metzger, granddaughter of Louisa Frederika Kortz and Walter King Sheldon, great granddaughter of Jacob Kortz and Katherine Pflugfelder.
If I were to guess, Marie would be in the front row, fourth from the right. See Less
