Recollections about Anthony Marschner of Ed Marschner from conversations with my grandparents Ernest and Agnes.

Anthony's first four children (Olga, Arthur, John, and Joseph) were born in Buffalo where he and Sarah settled after their marriage. He ran a store on Genessee St. where he sold his wood carvings and framed pictures. This area of Buffalo hosted a huge German immigrant population The family lived above the store, which was across the street from a large open-air market. They belonged to St Michael's church, where all the children were christened, and Anthony sometimes played the organ there.
