Like · Reply · 1 · 3 hrs · Edited John Christy Wetzel John Christy Wetzel Supports the argument on genetics, and probably lifestyle- they actually walked a lot, sawed/screwed (uh, you know what I mean, right?)/drilled... by hand, chores, chores, chores. AVERAGE lifetimes back then were kept low largely by childhood mortality, as I understand it. Those who lived past the age of, say 50(?) often lived long lives. Most of us benefit from those genes- survivor genes, which got their jump start by those of our ancestors who made it through the big plagues of medieval times... and that includes basically all of us!
