photo album, WETZEL, Christy Robert- 2: Sherman, in Motorman (Street Car) uniform

photo album, WETZEL, Christy Robert- Scanned May 2013 by John Christy Wetzel given by David Lee Wetzel from cellar of Robert Vernon Wetzel Sherman Wetzel was a Motorman on a street car, per CEF attestation. Sherman Wetzel. 21 October 1891 - 25 September 1918. His profession was listed as "Streetcar Motorman" on his 05 June 1917 draft registration card, Marion County, WVa [although a year earlier, 05 April 1916, he listed his occupation as "farmer" in applying to the C.E.F. (Canadian Expeditionary Force!!!- What's that about?)] as well as in the 1910 census, "farmer". That's the only way I've been able to identify this photo so far. Death is listed at "Camp Lee, Virginia". Did he die from war injuries? Training accident? His cap appears to say: Sherman 29 (or 23) Monongahela Valley ... (His draft registration says: "Monongahela Valley Trac. Co."
