Serious Runaway Accident
On Monday afternoon while returning from the funeral of a babe, which was held at ladona, the team driven by Mrs. George Mitchell of Sweden Valley took fright while passing the Benson farm and proceeded to run away. Four ladies other than Mrs. Mitchell were seated in the rig, all of whom were thrown out and considerably bruised. Mrs. Mitchell was thrown beneath the wheels of the wagon, which passed over her body, breaking several ribs in the right side and inflicting other serious injuries. Dr. C.A. Reese was summoned, who made her as comfortable as possible, but can not yet fortell the result, fearing internal injuries.
