jeanbritton John S Mann: Wow another picture. He seemed to be very dignified, as he was. He was a laywer. My great great grandmother was his daugher, Cora, and her daughter Marian was my great grandmother. What a treat. Jeannie

mariat60 My husband bought a portrait at a local auction and after researching it we found out that it is this man. It is of when he was younger and first admitted to the bar. It was painted by Cyrenus S. Jones in 1847. Quite exciting to read the stories on him and how he played such a large part in the underground railroad.
