I send you Henry Runyon, Curtis Bailey & Henry Bailey. They have been sentenced by Court Martial to be shot & they are to be confined & ironed until it can be executed.
I also send the proceedings [&] letter of Genl Heth. You will proceed at once to execute the sentences & also to examine & release the union men that are not dangerous.

Abstract
Order, 20 June 186[?], from John McCausland, to Lieutenant Fitzhugh, sending him Henry Runyon, Curtis Bailey, and Henry Bailey, men convicted by Court Martial to be executed. He orders Fitzhugh to execute the men and also release any Union men not deemed dangerous.
