CHIEF BOB JOHNSTON
Coudersport has had quite a number of police officers during the years. Some have used their heads, some have been over-enthusiastic, to make records for themselves and some have been too lax to be efficient officers. To find a man with sound judgment is difficult. However, Robert Johnston was employed a couple of months ago by the Borough Council and it appears they made an excellent choice. Chief Bob is a young man only 25 and up to this time we have heard no complaints and a newspaper gets the kickbacks very quickly.
The Enterprise congratulates the young officer upon his success thus far and trusts he may continue to exercise the same good judgment that has marked his experience thus far.
MARRIAGE SOLEMNIZED
The marriage of Miss Natalie M. Johnson of Coudersport and Blair A. Buzard, son of Mrs. Emma Buzard of Kittanning, was solemnized Saturday afternoon, May 4, at the Methodist parsonage in Kittanning by the pastor, the Rev. Mclllnay.
They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Johnson of Coudersport, the former a brother of the bride.
The bride wore a gown of medium blue crepe with navy accessories and carried gardenias. Mrs. Johnson's gown also was a medium blue shade and her accessories navy. Her flowers were roses and babies breath.
Mrs. Buzard is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Johnson and a graduate of Coudersport High School with the Class of 1937. For some time she has been employed as clerk in the Ben Franklin store.
They will make their home in Kittanning, where Mr. Buzard has employment.
COMPLAINTS FILED
Stanley C. Welfling has filed complaints with Justice F. J. Wandall alleging that Walter Black, Coudersport, R. D., and C.W. Coons, Coudersport, own or harbor dogs without licenses. These complaints were filed Monday and it is expected others will follow soon.
MOTORIST NOTIFIED
Justice George B. Sharp of Austin has notified Norman F. McCoy of South Heights, Pa., of a charge placed against him by a motor police officer. The complaint alleges Mr. McCoy was driving on the left of the center of the highway in Keating Township..
