· This photo from Richard Sepulveda was a little trickier to identify. The picture had been trimmed, which also cut away the identity information on the back. When I gave the photo my full attention, I recognized the woman was Margaret E. “Maggie” Vergason (1871-1956). (In 2019, Rick provided a photo of her that was identified on the back.)
Now the task was easier, because there was just enough information still on the back, which read “Mr. and Mrs. W.” Maggie had two husbands: Porter Judd Green (1864-1909), who died young at age 44, and William Henry Palmeter (1860-1947). The back gives the first initial “W” for the husband - so this had to be W.H. Palmeter. The information on the back probably also indicated Maggie was a sister of Hattie Belle Vergason.

Linda Goodnoe Russell Perhaps. The man's name is often spelled Palmatier in census reports and other documents. I am sure his correct spelling is Palmater. I am alert for any possible connection to the Palmatiers we know and love. If there were a connection, that would put you in my family tree.

Gerry Hamilton so many times in doing research, as you know, you need to investigate 3 or 4 spellings of a family name. Will have to put some time into this. You are amazing
