A few years ago i interview a man Ivean Brown Was an Engineer.He was in his 90`s.Made hand crafts and Mapped out the Coudersport area.I am going to post what i shot.

Irvan was quite a guy. I always enjoyed hearing his detailed explanations of flood plain management, soils, geography and other earthly matters. He was also very dedicated to community service.

I wish I could retain a quarter of what Irvan knew...he was a very knowledgeable man...and loved to hear him laugh!! I miss him coming in to see us at the shop

Did Irv ever finish the model he was making of I believe it was Gold or some type of model that showed how the river cut through...he always was so excited about that and something he was designing in reference to the coal mines...some type of mechanism that would lift the coal out...as he got older I didn't hear as much about either of them so wasn't sure if he ever got to finish them

He and my dad, Floyd Bliss, were good friends. I seem to remember that they worked together at Soil and Water Conservation in the 60's. They both had great interest in the Indian history of the area as well.
