constanceredd49 This is the first time I am seeing this. I am assuming that the older lady is Harriet Cook and the other woman is Lura Lovina Cook with her two daughters. If I am wrong, let me know.

Elizabeth Thomas griswold I descend from daughter Alice Cook Knapp, my late mother really resembled Harriet and Alice. This photo was in my moms collection.

constanceredd49 I resemble Lura somewhat....I have darker skin as did my father. DNA does not suggest any American Indian or Black genes, wonder if the darker skin comes from the mysterious James Austin Cook. I descend from Harriet's son, Charles.

Lisa Smith-Martin I also have the darker skin dark brown hair (actually it has every different hair color in the strains now adding gray) my eyes are so dark brown they appear to be black. Mom is light skinned but grand mom was darker skin and black hair. I descend from Harriett's son Edgar. My DNA on Ancestry shows no Indian when I run it through Gedmatch I show 1.4 of American Indian.
