Repairs to Be Made At County Home Barns, And Drains And Also At County Jail When the present Board of Commissioners took charge of the affairs of the county, they found that a good many long standing needs had been left by the old board for them to take care of. Some of this left over work is now receiving attention. At the County Home new gutters are being put in as the old ones failed to properly carry of the water and damage was being done in consequence; the e barn roofs are to be painted and repaired and some other necessary work done. New gutters are also to be put in at the county jail, where the conditions were found to be the same as at the County Home

_______________
Has A New Pupil
Yes, they have a linotype machine at the Journal office, consequently the ENTERPRISE has another pupil. They come to a good place for instruction. The ENTERPRISE has now got the Democrat on quite an independent footing but it will take some weeks to get the Journal so well equipped. These shops put in the machines that they know require the attention of an expert machinist; then they put a green hand on the machine and rely on the ENTERPRISE machinist to keep their machines in running order. But of course they being such good friends (?) of the ENTERPRISE they feel quite free to ask any favors. It's a nice, cheap way to do.
