This is an adorable photo of Paul. “Painless Paul” was my dentist too.
I was four when Carl Herman passed away, but I have zero photos of me or my mom with him.

Uncle Paul is stirring up trouble in Steeler’s country; that’s great!

I think Papa died at our house in Coudy, not in Galeton.

He stayed with us for awhile, too. But I think you are right about him being at Uncle Herm’s when he died.p

Thinking back, as I remember, he died in our house. He was upstairs at one point by I think Mom and Dad moved him downstairs in that room next to the bathroom - the room was sort of rose colored. Remember?

Papa Otto was very emotional and would cry when saying grace at Thanksgiving or Christmas.

He was such a gentle man. After grandma died we were at Kueka Lake and he was having such trouble getting over it.

Carolyn Busch yeah Mom and Dad were in Quantico, Virginia. Dad was in the Navy and they had him come down when Mimi died. This was right when they were buying the house in Coudersport, in fact Mimi had her first heart attack at our house. There's pictures of Papa at Quantico and he's so sad.
