Alberta Mulosky (sic- Mulauski) Broslet

Austin Flood survivor, Aberta Mulosky was born in 1902 and lived in Costello with Austrian born parents, Michael Mulosky and Stella Sostock and several siblings. Alberta married in 1922, Julius Broslet, a railroad agent whose work took them to Indiana where their only child, Francis Broslet was born. By 1930 they are living in Homer township. Her sister Genevieve was married around 1935 to Martin(sic- Leopold) Weiss.

The Dresden Plate quilt ona purple background was made by Alberta, possibly for her sister’s wedding.
Alberta and Julius’s only son, Francis went off to war and did not come home. His tombstone reads,
“ In memory of Son, Lost at
Sear, 1943, WWII”.
Alberta died in 2002, one day short of being 100. Her quilt was
donated by her nephew, Martin Weiss and his wife, of Coudersport.
