Martin WEIMER--97 was born on 12 Apr 1831 in Roulette, Potter, Pennslyvania.
He died on 3 Jun 1864 in Cold Harbor, Hanover, Virginia.
MILITARY: The battle of Cold Harbor was a total victory for the Confederate Army. Years later, General Lee said that he never should have ordered his men to fire on the Union troops. A brief summery of the battle may be found at Battle Summary: Cold Harbor, VA
Martin served in Company "G" which was raised in Potter County, Pennsylvania under Arch. F. Jones, Captain.
The 53rd Regiment commanded by Lieut. Col. Richards McMichael was attached to the Fourth Brigade Commanded by Col. JOHN R. BROOKE and was part of the FIRST DIVISION commanded by Brig. Gen. FRANCIS C. BARLOW.
