Many Party Contests Foreseen In County
SALAMANCA--Democratic and Republican primaries m Cattaraugus County, April 2d, will not be without local battles that in some cases at least seem to carry implications of old contests within the ranks of both parties. There are fourteen contests waiting for Republicans in choosing members of the county committee to waiting Democrats, the filing of designating petitions for the candidates shown.
None of the contests, so far as indicated, are within the two cities, Olean and Salamanca. In many districts no Democratic candidates for county committee were designated.

Little Valley 1--Mary S. McCarthy and Burt A. Whitney; Frank Kllic and Eunice Lankow; C. F. Schuman and Lee Gorsline.
Napoli --Fred R. Congdon and William Perrcault; P. L. O'Neill and Catherine O'Neill.
Republican
Allegany 1--Clair Gerringer and Charles Martiny; Merton C. Kyser and John Spring.
Allcgany 3--Ernest S. Dicteman I urn! Ralph Edwards; Charles A. ! Shifrr and Donald J. Miller. nest Rose; Herman \Vienk and Ernest Grube. Portviilc 1--Edward W. Lewis and Helen E. Johnson; Marie P.
