He settled then in Providence, RI. In 1680, both James and Alice filed for divorce, but the court declined to grant it to either. As far as is known, he never returned to Connecticut." She had been left with five small children at home when James Boosey had died, and this could have been part of the problem in her second marriage, which was childless.
