Carman and four children of Vel-lore, South India, were guests Thursday and Friday of Mrs. Carman's aunt, Mrs. E. P. Huntington Sr. Mrs. Carman is the oldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rupert Swetland who were involved in a fatal accident when returning by automobile from Florida in 1962. The Carmans landed at the Boston Airport June 25 and visited Dr. Carman's brother, who teaches in the Harvard Divinity College. They are visiting friends ana relatives in the East before going on to Minneapolis where Dr. Carman will continue work at the University of Minnesota in pathology, which he teaches in the Christian Medical college in Vellore. The Carmans went to India five vears aeo where he joined his father, Dr. John Carman, superintendent of a nospiiai in Vellore for 20 years. The Robert Carmans will spend the month of August with Mrs. Carman's two sisters and families at cottages on a lake in northern Minnesota. They left Saturday for Rochester, N. Y., where Dr. Carman spent nine years in the Rochester Union Medical College and Strong Memorial Hospital before going to the Uni-versitv of Minnesota in 1961 for two years in pathology before going to India.
