He was a man of real worth, but for many years had been deprived of the privileges of active life, on account of sickness, resulting in the total loss of eyesight. He was a man of sound judgement and guided his affairs with discretion. He united with those constituting the Second Seventh-Day Baptist Church of Alfred, at its organization, and retained his membership until death. In his sickness his love remained strong toward God, and his faith in Jesus Christ was unshaken in his dying hours. N.V.H. She nevertheless was looking forward in the hope of the gospel. She was born in East Greenwich, R.I., in 1789, and moved to Madison county, N.Y., in 1801, and was married to Paris Green in 1807.
