MRS. MATILDA PHELPS
Mrs. Matilda Tuttle Phelps of Coudersport passed away early yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph Haskins, in Roulette after being seriously ill from complications.
She was born at Sweden Valley June 11, 1873, the daughter of John and Josephine Brace Tuttle.
Mrs. Phelps was married to Mr. Taylor in early life, and two children,
- Mrs. Ocie Heinmeyer of Irving- ton, N. J., and
- Mrs. Lillian Haskins of Roulette,
were born to this union. In the year 1916 she was married to William Phelps at Emporium, who passed away several years ago. During her life she had lived at Sweden Valley, Emporium and Coudersport.
Besides the two children, Mrs. Phelps is survived by
- a sister, Mrs. Rebecca Mitchell of Genesee,
and several grandchildren.
She was a member of the Sweden Valley Methodist Church.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 o'clock Friday (tomorrow) afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Haskins with Louis Summers of Roulette officiating.
- Burial will be made in Eulalia Cemetery.
