  Married: Name Martin (Hans Martin) WETZEL Birth 6 Sep 1700, Preuschdorf (Bas-Rhin) France Death 2 Aug 1760, Frederick Co., Virginia ,,, Martin died in Frederick Co., Va., probably at Brocks Gap. Frederick Co. later was divided into Shenandoah & Rockingham Counties. The last will and testament of Hans Martin Wetzel was finalized on the 5th day of August, 1760. He declares that he is "weak in body, but likely to part this world in the Presence of Almight God." He names Henry "my oldest son born in this country", and Eva, "my lawful and dearest wife," as his heirs. John Whetzel and Samuel Bonnet were the bondsmen. A descendant of Martin saw the will in Winchester, Va. in 2005.
