PROVO--Memorial services for Carl Wilford Farnsworth, 35, Fryeburg, Me., who was killed September 8, at Coudersport, Pa., in an airplane accident, will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Manavu-Ninth ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ariel S. Ballif, bishop of the Ninth LDS ward, will be in charge of the services.
Mr. Farnsworth was born Nov. 29, 1910. in Parowan, a son of Lewis edwin and Serena Bastian Farnsworth. When a boy, he moved to Rigby, Ida., where he received his early education. the family moved later to Provo, where he graduated from the junior high school. He then moved to San Francisco, Cal., and was graduated from the Galileo high school. While attending the San Mateo Jr. college, he was married to Valdis Fowler of Lehi, July 15, 1931, in Lehi. They later moved to Fryeburg, Me., and had been living there four years at the time of his death.
