Bartlow, 98, of 28 W. Water St., Muncy, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009 at the Gatehouse in Williamsport. Born in Lairdsville on Dec. 21, 1910, she was a daughter of the late Hiram and Amanda Catherine (Craig) Houseknecht. On Nov. 18, 1939, she married Wilbur Abram Bartlow in Ashland. Together they celebrated 65 years of marriage until his death on Nov. 14, 2005. She was a 1930 graduate of Hughesville High School. Mildred was a member of First United Methodist Church, Muncy. Surviving are nieces and nephews and beloved neighbors, George and Helen Lundy. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5 at Grenoble's, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. Officiating will be her pastor, Rev. Michael R. Gardy. Burial will follow in Lairdsville Cemetery. (or Columbia County?- jcw, 07.09.2011)
