  Married: My name is Marion Scherer and I am a direct descendant of Nehemiah French through his marriage to Olive Churchill (m. 1 Samson). Olive (Churchill) Samson brought her two young sons, George and Joseph into her marriage with Nehemiah. Olive Churchill's family is well documented in "The Churchill Family of America". Nehemiah and Olive are buried in the John Lyman Cemetery in Roulette, Potter County, PA as well as are John C. French and his oldest daughter, Helen Margaret French. Nehemiah and Olive's son John C. French was my great grandfather. John C. French was a noted author and contributor/collaborator regarding Pennsylvania wildlife and folklore/music. I have transcribed John's book, "The Passenger Pigeon in Pennsylvania" in its entirety to Joyce Tice's Tri-Counties History and Genealogy Site.
