Alice May Dingman Dies At Home in Hebron
Mrs. Alice May Dingman, ill two years, died Monday (July 23, 1951), at her Hebron home.
Deceased was born in Hebron, May 1, 1877, a daughter of Roswell and Sarah Ayers Emerson.
She married George Dingman at Alfred, N. Y., Nov. 4, 1920.
He passed away in 1942.
The couple had no children.
Nearest survivors are two sisters-in-law,
- Mrs. Alva Thompson and
- Mrs. Fred Snyder.
Mrs. Dingman was a member of Hebron Grange. The body was prepared for burial at the Grabe Funeral Home and later taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Snyder. A prayer service is being held there this afternoon followed by funeral service at the Seventh Day Baptist Church at Hebron, with the Rev. Burton S Swartz of the Coudersport Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial is to be on Crandall Hill.
There will be Grange committal service by Arthur Metzger. Pallbearers are:
- Roy and
- William Thompson,
- Manuel Swift,
- Isaac Dingman,
- L. D. Pepperman and
- Arthur Van Pelt.
Mrs. Henry Deitrick Suffered Heart Attack
Mrs. Henry Deitrick passed away at her farm home in Kane last Thursday morning from the effects of a heart attack.
She was well known here as she had visited at the home of the Deitrick family.
Her husband was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Deitrick.
The funeral was held Saturday morning at the St. Callistus Church in Kane.
Burial was in the Kane Cemetery.
Those attending funeral services from here were:
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Beckman,
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Deitrick,
Mr. and Mrs. William Kolat,
Mrs. J. Harrington and
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Deitrick.

Mrs. Lorena Snyder Passes Away Suddenly at Port Allegany Last Wednesday. Funeral Saturday. West Hebron, Aug. 16.
This community was greatly shocked to hear of the sudden death of Mrs. Lorena Snyder, at the Port Allegany Hospital, last Wednesday. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, Charley Snyder, two little girls and step-daughter Mary; also infant daughter Charleen Doris and a host of relatives and friends. The body was taken to the home of Alva Thompson, where they also cared for the children. The funeral was held at two o'clock Saturday afternoon, at the Hebron Seventh Day Baptist church. Pastor Robert Wing officating. Interment was made in the Five Corner Cemtery.
Mr. and Mrs. Almerion Lyman and children, Lanson and Elwin Ingles, of Roulette, were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Howard and family. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Clark, of Los Angeles, were visiting his cousin, Arthur Mattison and family Tuesday.
Mrs. Maud Howard called on Mrs. Zeruah Stearns, Tuesday afternoon.
Mrs. Eva Swift and children and Mrs. Tillie Swift, of Coneville, called at Fred Snyders, Tuesday.
Milford Clark went to State College, last Wednesday, returning Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Merideth Reynolds and children, of Little Genesee and Fannie Burdick, of Filmore, called on Mr. and Mrs. Don Stearns and family and Mrs. Ella Stearns, Saturday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. George Dingman were Coudersport vsitors, Friday.
Monta Frilligan was a Millport visitor, Thursday evening.
